MOVE 14[/u] ANDREW (BLACK) posted first, moving the players UP. TREVIN (WHITE) was eliminated, having fallen into the water. This only leaves ANDREW (BLACK) and MITCH (SILVER) on the board. Mitch can win if one of the fireballs gets moved to eliminate Andrew. Andrew can win if Mitch falls into the water. Move 15 will move fireballs at 1:59 PM EST tomorrow/later today.

So, let's address each of these, in turn. Andrew, if all the fireballs are eliminated from the board, then yes, you will win by default. However, this round didn't officially start until until 1:59 PM EST, and you posted at 12:59 PM EST, which doesn't count. Mitch is the first to post after 1:59 PM EST, at 6:00 PM. However, the rules clearly state: This means that no one has officially posted for the round yet. Since the timing of my intervening (now) will have a severe impact on who will potentially make the next move, it would not be fair to allow this round to continue, as stands, because the first person to read this post (the time for which was not declared earlier, like all of the other times for the competition) would be able to make the move for the round. As a result, this round is considered void. Neither Andrew nor Mitch were able to make a move on their first attempt, in compliance with the rules. Instead, we will take what is scheduled as the next move and change it from moving players to moving fireballs, so that we continue to alternate as intended. The first post of the thread has been updated with a revised schedule. As you can see, the previous time slot has been stricken, and the next move will take place at 2:59 AM EST, moving fireballs. Following that, players will be moved at 3:59 PM EST tomorrow. |
